Abstract: The objective of this training session was to equip the young managers to take up the responsibilities and leadership role for the first time. The workshop was divided into 3 modules: Module 1 included Industry overview. Module 2 included Interpersonal relations- and Module 3 was about Managerial Communication. This MDP was conducted with innovative pedagogy like interactions, quizzes, case studies, brainstorming sessions etc. A lot of inputs were given in the training session regarding handling the teams and skill sets required to do so. It also focussed on Emotional Intelligence, Judgement and Decision-making competencies. This successful training session was received very well by the participants which is evident through their positive feedback.

Behavioral soft skills session on sales and marketing

Abstract: Introduction - This program helped the customer approach, communication for sales pitch persuasive, fuels & combustion also comparison with LPG, "Vapor Off Take" (VOT system), correct pipeline, capacity vaporiser, jumbo installation, case study, Negotiation skill and customer relationship management. Products and margin calculations, tidelines of lS 6044, rules & construction of LPG installation and burners. Field Visit. The objective of the program was - 1. To Customer relationship management and negotiation skill.2. strengthen interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to manage large teams 3. To enhance skills to lead digital transformation in their organisation 4. To evolve them to leadership mindset 5. To help them manage cross-functional teams.

Abstract: The MDP provided the participants with a in depth understanding of behavioural and management skills. Participants were middle-level managers and Directors from Pan India. The MDP was delivered in three days. Day 1 conducted by Dr. Reena Lenka on Leadership was about the theoretical considerations and Practical implementation of effective leadership skills with the help of activities, case study and videos. Day 2 conducted by Dr. Vanishree Pabalkar on communication skills was delivered through case study analysis, activities and videos. Day 3 by Dr. Ruby Chanda on Interpersonal skills was delivered effectively through case study, Storytelling, activities and videos.

The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) is an inter service organization functioning directly under Department of Ex-serviceman Welfare, Ministry of Defence. DGR assist Ex-Serviceman to train and acquire additional skills and facilitate their resettlement through a second career.

SIMS is duly recognized and funded by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad and The National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India for conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programs under DST-NIMAT Project. SIMS has been conducting “Women Entrepreneurship Development Program” and “Entrepreneurship Development Program” under the project since 2015.

A 2 - 4 weeks training program consist of 25-30 participants of the 18-40 age group. The participants are possessing degree or diploma (2/3 years) from the Science, Engineering, technology from government recognized institutions. The program includes classroom session by experience faculty and experience sharing by entrepreneurs. The experiential learning experience was enhanced through the factory visits and field work – data collection. The session end with the discussion on preparing action plan with the participants.

The training was attended by the Gestamp employees from production, quality, toolroom, dispatch and purchase department. The participants learned PowerPoint presentation and email writing. The oral communication module is to train the participant to speak confidently and without fear whilst making a presentation.
