The entrepreneurship culture is of key importance to SIMS. To keep this culture alive, SIMS opened an Incubation centre in 2010 which acts as a platform for students with entrepreneurial zeal to realize their dreams. At SIMS, we believe a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and the Incubation Centre acts as the first stepping stone. The centre is involved in initiatives regarding the same, 'IDENTIFY ORAL CARE' being one of them.

SIMS has conducted online classes with flying colours in the entire year of 2020 and hybrid classes toward the latter half of 2021. We intend to keep up the interactive and progressive learning atmosphere that has been the culture at SIMS, as well as encourage extra-circular pursuits of our students, without COVID-19 restrictions posing as a deterrent. While in the hybrid model, we made sure to follow the proper COVID-19 precautions and best practices to create a safe learning environment for everyone.

The specializations in major mode offered include Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management & Operations and SCM. A student may apply for leave separately, be it medical or personal, but will need to maintain the attendance criteria.

A student must maintain 90% in all semesters to appear for the placement process and 75% for appearing in the exams, as per SIU rules.

Our batches have a healthy ratio of freshers and students with work experience.

Yes, we provide exchange programs. There are summer schools and collaborations with many foreign universities. For more detailed information, visit SIMS website (https://www.sims.edu/collaborations ).

One of the features that sets SIMS apart from other colleges is its orientation period. Orientation is meant to give a sneak peek into what's to come next. We go one step ahead and let our students experience it first hand and bring everyone up to speed, no matter their previous background. Our orientation process includes introductory sessions on the subject, guest sessions, physical activity, among other things – all to prepare our student managers for a bright educational career in their MBA and post- MBA too, while practising work-life balance. It also builds batch unity and friendships that last for a lifetime, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

The duration of the entire GE-PIWAT process for a candidate can vary from 4 hours to 5 hours. It used to be conducted in a single day during the previous years. However, this year, WAT will be conducted on a different day and GE-PI on an extra day since the process is online.

The list of all the documents to be submitted is on the sims.edu website under the ‘Admissions’ tab, or visit here: https://www.sims.edu/admission_mba

The submission of documents is made online, and candidates will be reached out during the personal interview for further information. Also, it is advised that you keep a check on the website for regular updates.

It is 50% for both GE-PIWAT and SNAP exams. Further bifurcation for GEPIWAT is:
● 30%- PI (Personal Interaction)
● 10%- GE (Group Exercise)
● 10%- WAT (Writing Ability Test)
So, even if you have just cleared the cut-off, there is still a chance to earn the final merit list as the GE-PIWAT process also carries 50% weightage.

There are no particular books for the preparation of GEPIWAT. Just keep yourself updated with the recent news, read newspapers, and be thorough with your CV.
● For Group Exercise: Candidates are evaluated on how efficiently they can work in a group.
● For WAT: Work on your writing skills and articulation. Enhance your vocabulary.

It is not mandatory to have work experience and it does not provide an added advantage. Your selection entirely depends on your skills, knowledge and performance in the GE-PIWAT process.

● Go through your resume, know yourself. Do not contradict your resume.
● Be original and spontaneous. Get clear with what you want and how you aim to achieve that.
● Tell the panel about yourself, your interests and achievements.
● Be confident while answering.

There is fierce competition in the open category, and seats are much less, so it depends entirely on your performance in the process, i.e., SNAP Test and the GEPIWAT process.

Every candidate has to attend a separate process for all the institutes. Make sure you apply to each college separately. So, if you want to choose SIMS, the last date of application is 31st January 2022.

● Have a good, stable internet connection for proper connectivity.
● Sit in a noise-free, well-lit room.
● Be formally dressed.
● Check your camera and microphone to ensure that they are in proper working conditions.
● Keep your documents handy.
● A detailed mail regarding guidelines for GEPIWAT will be sent to all the shortlisted candidates, so don’t worry about it.

No, both the GE-PIWAT evaluation panel and verification panel work independently, so it will not impact your GE-PIWAT evaluation. If you can produce the pending documents within the stipulated time, it will not affect your candidature. If not, your candidature will stand ineligible for the subsequent processes. If you fail to submit the documents on time, we will cancel your candidature.

You may write to The Director, SIMS (director@sims.edu ), keeping in CC the faculty-in-charge, Dr. Suruchi Pandey (suruchi.p@sims.edu ), stating the part of the process you were not satisfied with and the reason for your dissatisfaction along with your GE-PIWAT details, so this may be looked into further by us. Also, a feedback form is circulated immediately as soon as your process ends.

We will allocate a slot for you as per the availability of slots, after which no changes are made.

In this case, you will be allowed to go through the entire GE-PIWAT process. Based on the documents provided by you, your category will be updated, and your candidature will be considered in that specific category (if you satisfy the eligibility requirements application for that category) for any subsequent process.

PLACEMENTS

The average CTC offered to the batch of 2020-22 is 10.6 lakhs per annum. The highest CTC is 26.5 lakhs per annum. We have achieved 100% placements this year, despite the pandemic.

SIMS has an impeccable record of placement. The final recruitment process at SIMS is held between October and November. Companies from every sector (including BFSI, FMCG, IT, Consulting and Manufacturing sector) visits campus with placement opportunities for our students. This year the placement process was held virtually, albeit quite successfully. For more detailed information you may visit https://www.sims.edu/placements

SIMS has the best ROI on fees to CTC ratio, which is an unbeatable 110%. In addition to a great ROI, SIMS offers a highly subsidized fee to its students, which has made it one of the most sought-after colleges in the country.

This is not a general criterion for placement or with companies looking to recruit students. However, it depends on the profile they are looking to hire for, and some companies get a list of pre-requisites with them (previous work experience may be one of them).

Yes, they do matter as companies may use that as a criterion for shortlisting. It depends on the company policy and their own list of pre-requisites greatly.

The Summer Internship Program (SIP) is for eight weeks and the students are selected by the companies who visit campus for SIP selection, as per their requirements. Students may also look for their own internship opportunities, while maintaining the requirements for the same and keeping the college informed about it from the start (permission must be taken from the concerned department).
