The traditional rangoli of POOKKALAM was a pleasant sight to see 1st thing in the morning as one walked into the foyer of the academic building. The vibrant and colourful pattern reflected the honest enthusiasm of the students who had worked hard to create it. Awake since morning their, honest efforts showed through. It was a completely new experience for many of us and was an insight into another of our multi-faceted cultures.
The diverse pattern could be called a mirror to our life here at SIMS. People from different backgrounds come together under this one common roof and from hereon all differences are forgotten. What unites us is our passion for life, love and achievement. Life at SIMS is a whole new experience altogether. The colourful rangoli is a testimonial to our enriching life here, where evry day is a new day and it brings with it a new hope and a new vision. And just like how the rangoli became a part of our day we hope that SIMS and it's community remain a part of all of us for the times to come. |
