Eligibility For MBA

The requisite eligibility criteria to become eligible for MBA programmes are as under:

A. Candidate under Defence category should be a dependant of a serving Defence Personnel or Ex-Servicemen. The category of Ex-Serviceman is as defined vide Ministry of Defence; Govt. of India letter No. 36034/5/85-Estt (SCT) dated 14 April 1987.

B. Should be a graduate from a college affiliated to a statutory accredited University having undergone a full-time bachelor’s level degree programme with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks as indicated in the mark-sheet provided by University.

C. Candidates scheduled to appear in the graduation examination up to 15th June 2009 may also apply for MBA programmes and go through the selection process. However, the cases of those selected for admission will be treated as provisional and the admissions in such cases will be considered as under:

 I. Will be confirmed only on submission of original mark sheets, through their colleges, immediately on declaration of results provided they fulfill the requirement of minimum 50% of marks. ( Will be cancelled in case of failures or in respect of those with less percentage of marks (even 49.99% cannot not be accepted).
 II. The grounds that the student has applied for revaluation/or is reappearing for the exam will not be accepted.
 III. All the students will be required to present their original graduation Mark Sheets, Degree Certificate (if the student has passed his/her graduation prior to academic year '2009,) Migration Certificate and Transfer Certificate for verification latest by 31st August 2009.
 V. In case the concerned University fails to declare the candidates results by 31st August 2009, the Principal of the college, or the Registrar/Vice-Chancellor of the University where the student was studying should personally write a letter indicating the likely date of declaration of the results or declare the results confidentially to the Director, SIMS for suitable decision.
 VI. In any case, if the original copies of the above certificates are not submitted to the college by 30th September 2009 the admission of the student will stand cancelled automatically without any prior notification of the same.

D. The criteria in respect of Defence Officers on Study Leave will be in terms of the MOU with Ministry of Defence, Govt of India.

E. The students pursuing full time course in SIMS cannot undertake any other full time course/programme outside, during their tenure with the Institute.

F. The students should be medically examined and pronounced physically and mentally fit to undergo full time courses.
